Turner and McGinn Lead PLU to Win Over Bearcats
SALEM, OR — Stephanie Turner had 16 kills and Kati McGinn added 15 as Pacific Lutheran University defeated the Willamette University volleyball team 3-1 Saturday night in a Northwest Conference match at the Cone Field House.
PLU won the first two games by identical scores of 30-27. The Bearcats won game three by the same margin before PLU dominated game 4, winning 30-21.
Gina Dimaggio recorded 39 assists and Megan Kosel had 28 digs to pace PLU.
Freshman Jessica McGraw led Willamette with 15 kills and 25 digs. Kelly Lindstrom had 16 kills and Roni Schnieder picked up 32 digs for the Bearcats. Jessica Drumm had 41 assists for Willamette.
The Bearcats fall to 0-6 on the season, 0-2 in the NWC. PLU raises its record to 4-5 overall, 1-1 NWC.
