Bearcats Climb to No. 15 in National Poll: No. 2 in West Region
SALEM, OR — Fresh off a two-game sweep on their annual trip to Western Washington, the Willamette University women's soccer team has climbed to No. 15 in the nation, according to the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) poll.
The Bearcats (9-4-1, 7-2-1 NWC) are also ranked No. 2 in the West Region behind Northwest Conference rival UPS. UPS is No. 9 in the nation.
Three of the four Bearcat losses, including their first two games of the season, have come against nationally- ranked teams.
Willamette looks to avenge one of those losses this Sunday when they host UPS at noon at Sparks Field. The Bearcats are 7-1-1 in their last nine games and have allowed only three goals in that span.
Willamette warms up for UPS by traveling to Lewis & Clark for a Saturday afternoon contest.
