Bearcats Third After Two Rounds of Fall Tournament
McMinnville, OR - The Willamette University men’s golf team completed the second round of the NWC Southern Division Fourway tournament on Tuesday with a second place finish at Linfield’s Michelbrook Country Club.
Dave Eaton led the way for the Bearcats as he shot 71 overall placing second behind Linfield’s Kevin Duerr, who shot a 68.
Michelbrook was the second stop on the Southern fourway, which pits Lewis and Clark, Pacific University, Linfield College and Willamette University against each other in a four-course, four-round battle for fall season supremacy. After four rounds the top overall team score will take home the trophy. At the end of the second round
Linfield is leading the field with a team score of 602 for the first two rounds. They are followed by Pacific with 613, Willamette in third with 618, and Lewis and Clark with a 662.
The next stop on the Southern fourway will be at Oregon Golf Club in West Linn October 9th, with the final stop at Creekside Country Club on Oct. 11th.
