Balanced Scoring Attack Leads Corban Past Ice-Cold Bearcats
SALEM, OR — All twelve Corban College players scored — led by Erin Plotts’ 11 points — as Corban defeated the Willamette University women’s basketball team 72-50 in a non-conference game Tuesday night at the Cone Field House.
Corban jumped to an early 20 point lead as the Bearcats were ice-cold from the floor. Willamette’s first basket didn’t come until Jennifer Bell’s 3-pointer at the 9:49 mark made the score 24-5.
Corban shot 43% for the game to 20% for the Bearcats.
Freshman Brittany Farrer had 18 points and ten rebounds to pace the Bearcats. Emily Kindle grabbed 12 rebounds for Corban. Tosha Wilson added seven assists for the visitors.
Laura Payne was the only other Bearcat in double figures with ten points.
The Bearcats fall to 1-2 on the season. Corban raises its record to 3-1. The teams meet again on December 6 at Corban. Willamette’s next home game is versus Pacific Lutheran on December 3rd.
