Fischer Leads Bearcat Women To Fourth Place After Day One of Northwest Invite

PORTLAND, OR — Becca Fischer finished second in the 200 IM and the Bearcat women’s 400 IM relay team finished third as the Willamette University women’s swimming team stands in fifth place after the first day of the Northwest Invitational at Lewis & Clark College Friday. The meet continues today.

On the men’s side, swimming without their two best swimmers, the Bearcats are in 8th place. Kei Otawa is swimming in the Husky Invitational today and Eric Swinn is not competing this weekend.

Fischer swam 2:18.08 to finish second, then joined with Shannon Gima, Bridget Sutherland and Jessica Lee to finish in third place in the 400 medley relay.
