Corban Knocks Off Bearcats 9-4

SALEM, OR - Jamie McGraw was 4-5 with a pair of runs scored as Corban College defeated the Willamette University baseball team 9-4 Tuesday afternoon at John Lewis Field.

Corban jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and collected 15 hits in the game to send the Bearcats to their fourth straight loss over the past three days.

Kyle Stalker hit a two-run home run for the Bearcats in the 8th inning and Jack McGee was 2-3 with a run scored in his first start of the season at shortstop.

Bryan Bernard got the win for Corban as he went 2 1/3 hitless innings in relief of Brett Timmerman. Jarrid Summers gave up three earned runs in three innings of work to absorb his first loss of the season.

Corban raises its record to 6-13 with its second win of the season over Willamette. The Bearcats fall to 13-11 as they prepare to take on Northwest Conference foe Linfield this weekend in McMinnville.
