Eaton finishes Third in Pacific Invitational

Dave Eaton finished in a tie for third as the Willamette University golf team finished sixth in the Pacific Invitational men's golf tournament Sunday at the Ghost Creek Course at Pumpkin Ridge.

Eaton fired a 77-76-153 to tie with four other golfers who finished five strokes behind PLU's Brian Misterek. Misterek shot a pair of 74 for a 148 to finish four shots ahead of Jordan Carter of Whitworth.

Whitworth won the team title with a 613, one shot ahead of Linfield. PLU was third (631). The Bearcats finished with a 636, only five shots out of third place.

Tyler Robinson shot 76-84-160. Martin Kraal, who won last week's Willamette Invite, was the next Bearcat finisher with an 84-78-163. Dave Bennett and Baylor Falk both shot 171 and Damian Wolfgram shot 174.

The Bearcats head to Pendleton, OR next weekend to compete in the Northwest Conference Spring Tourney on Sunday and Monday.
