Kraal Shoots 148 To Win Medalist Honors and Lead Bearcats To Team Title At Willamette Invite

SALEM, OR - Willamette's Martin Kraal was a model of consistency, shooting two rounds of 74 and a total of 148 to earn medalist honors and lead the Willamette University men's golf team to the team title in the Bearcat's own Willamette Invitational played Monday at Creekside Golf Course.

Willamette won the team title for the 36-hole event with a combined score of 619. UPS was second at 621. Pacific Lutheran, behind the second place finish of teammates Chris Packard and Brian Misterik (151), finished third with 628.

Kraal shots nines of 37-37 in the morning round, then came back to shoot 38-36 in the afternoon to win by three strokes. After Packard and Misterek, UPS's Scott Brozena finished fourth; Pacific's Dan Cashmere (154) finished fifth; and Willamette's Ben Bryant finished sixth with 155.

Pacific finished fourth in the team event with a 664. Corban College, led by Ben Sisler's 158, finished fifth with 669. Willamette's Baylor Falk and Tyler Robinson both finished tied for eighth with 158.
