Bearcat Men Fall to Linfield in NWC Tennis Championships; Face UPS for Fifth Place Saturday

YAKIMA, WA -The Linfield Wildcats beat the Willamette University men's tennis team 7-0 in the first round of the Northwest Conference championships Friday, pushing the Bearcats into the fifth place match Saturday morning against the University of Puget Sound.

At No. 1 singles, Eric MacMillan lost a tough two set match to Owen Suagee 6-4, 7-6 (3). Shaun Mihalik lost a three-set match at No. 3 singles, falling to Kei Sato 7-5, 4-6, 6-1.

The Bearcats play UPS for fifth place Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
