Women's Tennis Loses to Whitman

WALLA, WALLA, WA - Alaine Anderson picked up a win at No. 3 singles, but the Willamette University women's tennis team lost to Whitman Saturday.

Whitman swept the doubles matches. Hannah Johnson and Tiffaany Kam lost 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, as did Sarah Potts and Christy Newell at No. 3 doubles.

Anderson's win at No. 3 singles came over Marta Jankowska, 6-1, 6-2.

Kam lost a tough three-set match at No. 1 singles to Asiya Khaki, 3-6, 7-6 (7-1), 10-3.

The Bearcats fall to 6-10 overall, 7-11 overall.
