Willamette Rowing Ranked 15th by cMax

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University women's varsity 8+ crew is ranked 15th in NCAA Division III in the cMax rankings released on April 10. Willamette is 36.8 seconds behind #1-ranked Williams College (Mass.). The Bearcats are only 1.7 seconds behind Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference rival Lewis & Clark College, ranked 11th.

In the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association rankings, also released on April 10, the Willamette varsity women's 8+ received votes in the NCAA Division III Top 15 Poll. The Bearcats earned eight points, while Lewis & Clark, which lost to the Willamette women's varsity 8+ this past weekend, received six points. Washington College, with 21 points, was ranked 15th in the poll. Williams held first place with 159 points.

Willamette's next rowing competition is set for Saturday, April 14 at the Covered Bridge Regatta in Eugene, Ore. Races get underway at 7 a.m. (PDT).
