SALEM, ORE.. -- With the weather forecast calling for rain on Saturday, April 14, the Willamette University and University of Puget Sound softball teams want as much time as possible to squeeze in their Northwest Conference doubleheader, scheduled for the WU Softball Field. As a result, the first pitch in Game #1 has been moved to 12 p.m. (PDT), two hours earlier than originally scheduled.

The Bearcats enter the NWC match-up with a 14-9 overall record, including 8-6 in the conference. Puget Sound is 16-12 on the season, 5-11 in the NWC. When the teams met at UPS in Tacoma, Wash. on March 31, they split a doubleheader. Puget Sound won the first game 3-1, but the Bearcats took the second game, 5-3.
