Baseball Games Moved to McMinnville due to Weather
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University and Linfield College have moved their games on Sunday, April 20 from John Lewis Field in Salem, Ore., to Roy Helser Field to McMinnville, Ore., due to weather conditions. The teams will complete the suspended game from Saturday starting at 12 p.m. (PDT) before starting the regularly scheduled doubleheader.
Linfield won the first game of the series, 13-7, and was leading 6-5 in the top of the sixth inning when the second game was suspended due to the weather and impending darkness. Roy Helser Field was chosen as the site to continue the series because it has an artificial turf infield.
Due to the change in venues, the games will not be webcast. Live Stats, however, will be available for the two regularly scheduled games.. Note: Linfield won the suspended game, 6-5.
