Willamette Track and Field at NCAA National Championships
OSHKOSH, WISC. -- The Willamette University track and field teams will begin competing at the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships today (May 22) with action in the heptathlon, women's 1,500-meter run and the women's 4 x 400-meter relay. Competition will continue through Saturday, May 24.

Men's results will be posted by the NCAA at http://www.raceberryjam.com/ncoutmenevt.html.
Stories will be posted on the Willamette Athletics website shortly after results are received.
Brooke Smith (Jr., Idleyld Park, OR/Glide HS) will represent Willamette in the heptathlon. Today's schedule features the first four events: 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200-meter dash. Smith's national qualifying score of 4,462 set a new Bearcat record.
Carly Killam (Sr., Kailua, HI/Punahou School) of Willamette is set to compete in the 1,500-meter run. She reached the National Championships with a qualifying time of 4:37.66 at the John Knight Twilight.
The WU 4 x 400-meter relay team includes Kaitlin St. John (So., Bend, OR/Mountain View HS), Jennifer Luecht (So., Milwaukie, OR/Rex Putnam HS), Lydia Marsalli (So., Klamath Falls, OR/Klamath Union HS) and Jordyn Smith (Sr., Henderson, NV/Green Valley HS). The Bearcats qualified for Nationals with a time of 3:53.39.
