Bearcats and Bruins Will Start Series with One Game on Friday
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University and George Fox University baseball teams will start their Northwest Conference series with a single 9-inning game on Friday, March 13 in an effort to play the game in good weather conditions. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. (PDT) at Willamette's John Lewis Field.
With rainfall expected on Saturday, the schedule for the remainder of the series is uncertain. The teams hope to play all four games during the weekend, but it has not been determined how many games, if any, will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
The series is important for both teams. Willamette is 3-1 in the Northwest Conference, while George Fox is 8-0 in NWC action. The Bearcats are 5-5 on the season. GFU is 11-3 overall.

Kyle Stalker leads the Bearcats with a .400 batting average and 14 RBIs.
