Bryant and Adversalo Tie for Fourth at Logger Invitational
TACOMA, WASH. -- Willamette University golfers Ben Bryant (Sr., Albany, OR/West Albany HS) and Shane Adversalo (Jr., Honolulu, HI/University Laboratory School) tied for fourth place at the Logger Invitational, as the two-day event concluded on Friday, March 6 at the Fircrest Golf Club. Both shot a 36-hole total of 155, with Bryant carding a 78-77 and Adversalo recording a 79-76.
The individual champion was Tyler Nelson of Linfield with a score of 1242. He shot the low round of the tournament on Thursday with a 69, then earned a 73 over the final 18 holes. Second place went to Jason Casey of Pacific Lutheran University with a 149 (74-75). Yutaro Sakamoto of Linfield was third at 150 (75-75). Bryant and Adversalo followed as the only golfers tied for fourth.
Linfield won the team championship with a score of 595. Pacific Lutheran took second at 627, with Puget Sound in third at 630 and Willamette in fourth at 645.
