Ueno is Tied for Second after First Day of NWC Championship

YAKIMA, WASH. -- Whitney Ueno (Sr., Hilo, HI/Hilo HS) of Willamette University is tied for second place after the first day of the Northwest Conference Women's Golf Championship on Saturday, April 25 at the Apple Tree Golf Course. Ueno carded an 84 in the first round and is tied with Brynn Hurdus of Linfield College. Both golfers trail the leader, Sarah Bicker from the University of Puget Sound, who shot 82 for a two-stroke lead.

Puget Sound leads the team standings with a score of 355. Linfield is second at 365, with Whitworth University in third at 373. George Fox University is fourth at 379, Pacific University is fifth at 388, willamette and Pacific Lutheran University are tied for sixth at 446 and Whitman is eight at 449. Lewis & Clark did not enter a full team.
