SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University rowing team will conclude their fall season on Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Portland Fall Classic: Charlie Brown Regatta, in Portland, Ore. The regatta will be hosted by Lewis & Clark College and the Rose City Rowing Club.

Teams will be racing 5000 meters on the Willamette River in downtown Portland. A bike path follows the entire course and offers great viewing opportunities for Bearcat supporters.

The first flight of races will start at 8:30 a.m. (PDT). The men's and women's varsity 8+ boats and the men's double team will compete in the first flight. In the second flight, the men's and women's novice 8+ teams will compete. The second flight is set to begin at 10:45 a.m. (PDT).

Willamette competed in the Head of the Silcox and the Head of the Charles regattas last weekend, Oct. 18-19. At the Head of the Charles, Willamette's collegiate 8+ finished in ninth place. Only three boats from NCAA Division III finished ahead of the Bearcats. WU's entry into the women's collegiate 4+ finished in 14th place.
