Catch Video Webcasts as Bearcats Open NWC Action

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's and women's basketball teams will open the Northwest Conference schedule with home games at Cone Field House on Saturday, Jan. 2 and Sunday, Jan. 3. You can watch all of the action on a Live Video Webcast and you can keep up-to-date on the statistics with Live Stats during all four games.

The Live Video Webcast, which will include audio provided by announcers Mike Allegre (men's games) and Craig Spivey (women's games), is available for FREE. Likewise, Willamette will be providing Live Stats at no charge.

Willamette will take on Whitworth University on Saturday, with the women's game starting at 1 p.m. (PDT) and the men's game following at approximately 3 p.m. On Sunday, the Bearcats will battle Whitman College, with the women's contest set for 1 p.m. and the men's contest scheduled for 3 p.m.

To access the Live Video Webcast, go to the Full Access Sports website at www.fullaccesssports.com and choose "Watch Video." Each webcast will begin about 15 minutes prior to tip-off. For Live Stats go to the Willamette Athletics website, choose "Multimedia", then "Live Stats," then "Men's Basketball" or "Women's Basketball."

Willamette's women's basketball team begins the weekend with a 2-7 overall record. The Bearcat men's team is 3-6 on the season. Whitworth enters Saturday with the women's team holding a record of 4-5 and the men's team owning a record of 7-2.

Whitman starts the weekend with a doubleheader at Lewis & Clark College on Saturday before heading to Salem for Sunday's games against the Bearcats. Prior to playing at L&C, the Whitman women's team is 5-4 and the Whitman men's team is 6-3.
