CCTV Lists Games for Tape-Delayed Broadcasts

SALEM, ORE. -- Capital Community Television (CCTV) in Salem, Ore., has announced the list of Willamette University baseball and softball games that will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis by the local cable station this spring. A total of six baseball games played in three doubleheaders and four softball games in two doubleheaders will be taped and later aired by the station.

The first doubleheader to be taped by CCTV is set for Saturday, March 20 when the Bearcats will host defending Northwest Conference champion George Fox University. First pitch in the opening game of the doubleheader is set for 12 p.m. (PDT) at John Lewis Field. The schedule of when the tape-delayed broadcast will air has not yet been released.

CCTV also will tape Willamette baseball doubleheaders on Friday, April 2 versus Pacific University and on Saturday, April 24 against Whitworth University. Softball doubleheaders that will be taped are those on Saturday, April 3 against Pacific Lutheran University and on Sunday, April 25 versus Whitworth.

The station operates cable channels 21, 22 and 23 in Salem, Ore. CCTV has carried tape-delayed broadcasts of Willamette athletic events for a number of years, including several football, men's basketball and women's basketball games during the 2009-10 academic year.
