Baseball Road Game at Corban Moved to John Lewis Field

SALEM, ORE. -- The baseball game between Willamette University and Corban College originally scheduled to be played at Corban on Tuesday, April 13 will now be played at Willamette's John Lewis Field in Bush's Pasture Park. The game is still scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. (PDT). Corban will be the home team on the scoreboard and will bat last.

Wet conditions on the infield at Corban forced the game to be moved. WU's infield, which was laser-leveled this past summer and was in good condition on Monday, provided the best chance for quality conditions during Tuesday's game.

You can follow statistics as they occur during the game through LiveStats on the Willamette website. Go to Willamette Athletics at www.willamette.edu/athletics/, choose "Multimedia", then "Live Stats," then "Baseball."

Willamette brings a 9-18 record into the game, while Corban is 10-28 overall. The Bearcats defeated the Warriors, 14-7, at John Lewis Field on March 9.

Freshman first baseman Derek Collins is batting .345 this season with eight doubles and three home runs.
