Bearcats Move to #25 in NCAA Poll

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University softball team moved down this week to #25 in the NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Wednesday, April 14. Willamette is 22-7 overall, including 14-3 in the Northwest Conference.

Louisiana College, 30-2, remained #1 and received all eight first place votes for 200 points in the poll. East Texas Baptist University, 26-4, remained #2 with 192 points. The University of Texas-Tyler, 25-5, stayed #3 with 183 points.

Also ranked in the Top 25 was NWC rival Linfield College, 24-5, at #18. Linfield leads the current NWC standings at 17-1 in conference play.

The Bearcats will take on the Wildcats in a four-game series April 17-18 in McMinnville, Ore. Game time is set at 12 p.m. (PDT) each day.
