Women's Collegiate 4+ Finishes 13th at Head of the Charles

BOSTON, MASS. -- The Willamette University women's rowing team competed on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the Head of the Charles Regatta. Willamette had one boat participating on Saturday in the women's collegiate 4+ race. The Bearcats finished 13th in a field of 30 teams.

The Willamette crew finished the course on the Charles River in a time of 21:57.54. The Emory University Crew Club won the race with a time of 20:34.55. Emory just edged Trinity College and the University of Chicago, who completed the course with times of 20:35.22 and 20:35.45.

The women's 4+ team was made up of coxswain Blair Davis (So., Portland, OR), stroke seat Caroline Cahill (So., Maplewood, NJ), 3 seat Lauren Henken (So., Boise, ID), 2 seat Larissa Stiglich (Jr., Vancouver, WA) and bow seat Sarah Ferrier (Jr., Seattle, WA).

Willamette's second boat will compete on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 11:20 a.m. (PDT) in the Women's Collegiate 8+ race.
