BCC Defeats Willamette 8-1 in Women's Tennis Exhibition

Slonaker Wins at #5 Singles for Bearcats

BELLEVUE, WASH. -- Willamette University played an exhibition match in women's tennis against a quality junior college opponent in Bellevue Community College on Sunday, April 3 at the Robinswood Tennis Center. Bellevue CC won the match by a final score of 8-1.

Willamette's only victory was earned by senior Jamie Slonaker (Bainbridge Island, WA/Bainbridge HS) at #5 singles. Slonaker downed Amber Portka, 6-2, 6-3.

The Bearcats will return to Northwest Conference action on Friday, April 8, when WU will host Linfield College. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (PDT) at the WU Tennis Courts.
