Bearcats and Corban to Play at Volcanoes Stadium on Monday

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University and Corban University will play one 9-inning baseball game on Monday, Feb. 27 at Volcanoes Stadium, starting at 5 p.m. (PST). The make-up game will allow the teams to play one of the two games canceled on Saturday, Feb. 25 due to the weather.

Corban will be the home team for Monday's make-up game. Willamette will bat first.

The Bearcats defeated the Warriors, 17-5, on Friday in the first game of the series. Willamette earned 19 hits during the game, while Corban finished with 10 hits.

Plans are for Live Stats to be available through the Willamette Athletics website.

Admission of $5.00 per person will be charged for fans attending the game to help offset the cost of playing at Volcanoes Stadium. In addition, parking will cost $3.00 per car.

Following the make-up game, Willamette's next action will be on Saturday, March 3, when the Bearcats open Northwest Conference play with a doubleheader against Pacific Lutheran University at John Lewis Field. First pitch is set for 11 a.m. (PST).

The WU versus PLU series will conclude on Sunday, March 4 with a single game starting at 12 p.m.
