Willamette and Corban Baseball Teams to Play Make-up Game on March 20

SALEM, ORE. -- The baseball teams at Willamette University and Corban University, which played two of three games originally slated for Feb. 24-25, have rescheduled the third game. The Bearcats and the Warriors will play a 9-inning game at Corban on Tuesday, March 20, starting at 4 p.m. (PST).

WU won the opener of the series, 17-5, at John Lewis Field on Friday, Feb. 24. The doubleheader set for Saturday, Feb. 25 was canceled due to the weather, but one of those games was rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 27 at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, Ore. Corban won the second game, 5-3.

In addition to the make-up game on March 20, the teams are slated to play one game each on April 4 at Willamette and April 24 at Corban.

This weekend Willamette will open Northwest Conference action with a three-game series at John Lewis Field against Pacific Lutheran University. The Bearcats will host the Lutes in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 3, starting at 11 a.m. (PST). WU and PLU will complete the series with one game on Sunday, March 4 at 12 p.m.
