SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University will compete in its final home swimming meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 25 when the Bearcats host Linfield College at 1 p.m. (PST) at the WU Natatorium. The meet is match-up of natural rivals, with the Wildcats venturing to Salem from nearby McMinnville.

It will be Senior Day as the Bearcats and the Wildcats battle. Willamette's seniors -- four on the women's team and two on the men's team -- will be honored prior to the first event.

The meet can be watched through a Live Video Webcast. The webcast will begin at 12:45 p.m. and will include commentary from Robert McKinney, WU athletics communications director.

In advance of the Senior Day meet, Bearcat athletes Summer Elias (Jr., Elko, NV/Elko HS) and Chris Whitehead (Sr., Sherwood, OR/Sherwood HS), as well as Assistant Coach Kayla Kosaki, talked about last week's dual meets and previewed this weekend's competition in the video interviews linked on the right side of this page.
