Swanson Chosen NWC Men's Track Student-Athlete of the Week

Places 4th in 1,500-meter run at Lane Preview in 3:58.63

SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University runner Daniel Swanson (Jr., Seattle, WA/Roosevelt HS) has been named Northwest Conference Men's Track Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Lane Preview on Saturday, March 15.

Swanson placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:58.63. His time leads the Northwest Conference and ranks fifth in NCAA Division III.

Willamette will host Corban University in a dual meet from Tuesday, March 18 through Thursday, March 20. The heptathlon will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the hammer throw will take place on Wednesday. All of the remaining events will be contested on Thursday.

Events will be held at the Charles Bowles Track, with the exception of the hammer throw, which will be held behind the Math Learning Center at 1850 Oxford SE in Salem, Ore.
