Becky Roberts is in her eighth year as women’s tennis coach at Willamette University. She also coached the men's team for five years from 2001-2006.

In her first season in 2001, the WU men placed fifth in the NWC tournament and the women finished sixth. In 2002, the Bearcat men placed sixth in the conference tournament while the women finished eighth. This past season the Bearcat men placed 8th while the women finished 3th in Conference. Roberts was also named the 2004 Coach of the Year.

Roberts, coached the men and women’s tennis programs at NCAA Division I University of Texas at San Antonio for 19 seasons. She also coached at UTSA from 1981-99, winning Southland Conference Coach of the Year honors for the women in 1993 and ’99 and for the men in ’94. Her 1998 women’s team won the conference championship.

Since her tenure at UTSA and prior to coming to Willamette, Roberts was the head tennis pro at the Westin Salishan Lodge and Golf Resort in Gleneden Beach, Ore.

Roberts graduated with Honors in 1976 from the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education/health. She received a master’s degree in education/supervision from UTSA in 1984.
