Salem Chamber Orchestra (SCO) is pleased to announce the details of its Fifth Annual Summer Benefit. This year’s event, Hot Havana Nights, will take place Saturday, July 26, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Hot Havana Nights will serve to raise funds for Salem Chamber Orchestra, the Mid-Willamette Valley’s resident professional orchestra.
| The evening’s festivities will be held at Cubanisimo Vineyards, nestled in the
gentle Eola Hills in West Salem. Those attending will get a chance to indulge
in a spread of savory food, prepared by Bon Appétit. The Cuban-inspired menu
will feature traeger roasted country natural beef marinated in citrus mojo
Cubano, Havana-style grilled prawns with sweet papaya glaze, and summer
vegetable paella with heirloom beans and local tomatoes. Cubanisimo Vineyards’
signature wines will partner deliciously with the meal, and to round out the
Cuban fare, cigars will be available for purchase throughout the night. Authentic Cuban music and dancers will set the stage for the evening; Xavier
Tabera and the Classic Band will create a festive scene for dancing the night
away. Colorful and casual attire is encouraged – don’t forget your dancing
shoes! A limited oral auction of some fabulous items, including an original
watercolor painting by local artist Dr. Sam Rouslin, a hand-crafted sofa table
by Slate Wilson, and other exciting activity packages, will also add thrills
to the festivities. Tickets for the event are $600 for a table of eight (reserved seating) and $75
for individual tickets (open seating). Tickets may be purchased by calling the
SCO office at 503-480-1128. All tickets must be purchased in advance and
seating is limited. Sponsors for Hot Havana Nights are Steelhammer Investments, LLC, The H Group,
Inc. – Ron Kelemen, CFP, Jack & Pam Scott, and Element Design and Strategy. |
