About ASPAC

Asian Studies on the Pacific Coast (ASPAC) is a regional affiliate of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), the national association of professionals, primarily academic, interested in Asian Studies. Members come from the West coast of the United States of America, as well as from Canada, Mexico, and most of the countries/areas of the Pacific region including: China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, India, etc. ASPAC holds an annual conference and serves as a venue for cross-disciplinary exchanges of scholarly research on Asia through organized panels, roundtable discussions, individual papers, poster presentations, and informal conversations between sessions. The conference provides a friendly atmosphere for senior and junior scholars, independent researchers, and students of Asia. (For more about ASPAC please check out http://aspac.info/)
