Fred Wert Collaborative Research in Sustainability Grant
The Center for Sustainable Communities is pleased to announce the A. Fred Wert Collaborative Research in Sustainability Grant competition. The Wert Grant provides a total of $3500 ($3000 student, $500 faculty) for a collaborative research project in sustainability combining student research with faculty collaboration. Students may choose to work in collaboration with a faculty member on an aspect of that faculty member’s existing research in sustainability, or design their own sustainability project in collaboration with a faculty member with the requisite expertise. In each case, it is expected that the student and faculty member work closely together in designing a collaborative project that enhances the student’s scholarly development and research expertise, and contributes meaningfully to our academic understanding of sustainability and its practice. It is also expected that collaboration leads to presentation and/or publication of the research results beyond the Willamette community.
