MUSC 131 Theory I (.5)
The course will include the basic techniques of melodic analysis and the fundamental principles of 18th- and 19th-century diatonic harmony. Course will examine the species counterpoint of Fux and the beginnings of diatonic harmony. Laboratory.
Prerequisite: MUSC 130 or consent of instructor
