Faculty members from Willamette’s chemistry department have earned the Oregon Professor of the Year award three times. These dedicated teacher-scholars have built more than a reputation for inspiring students — they’ve founded a rigorous, close-knit, student-centered learning community. Whether you’re sharing your ideas in class or chatting with a professor in our academic hearth, you’ll feel right at home.

Approved by the American Chemical Society, our program focuses on a strong foundational education in five principal areas: analytical, inorganic, organic, biochemistry and physical chemistry.
