Greek Name: aêdôn [German: Nachtigall]
Description: Simple brown plumage with white belly and reddish-brown tail. L 16.5 cm.
Habitat: In Central Europe in wet thickets, forests, and parks, in Southern Europe also in drier areas with low bushes.

Behaviour:

 

Shy, usually hidden in the thicket, more often heard than seen.
