Ever wondered about all the Latin in the popular "Harry Potter" books or in the Harry Potter movies? Between 1983 and 1986, J. K. Rowling studied French with a subsidiary (i.e., minor) in Classics at the University of Exeter in Britain. Her books about the orphaned wizard Harry and the Hogwart's School for Witchcraft and Wizardry have been translated into more than 40 languages (including Latin and Greek) and sold more than 30 million copies.
