Answer Key to the Exercises GVE p. 82
Reading Exercise/Test Exercise

Euclio has a pot full of gold. Euclio carries the pot out of the house. For he is very much afraid. For thieves always want to take every gold away from all good (people). Therefore, he wants to hide the pot in a shrine. When Euclio hides the gold in a shrine, Strobilus sees (this). Euclio leaves the shrine. He is cheerful because he now doesn't fear any thief. Strobilus, however, creeps into the shrine like a worm. For he wants to take away the pot from the miserly Euclio. But Euclio sees the cocky slave. He says to the cocky slave many bad things and demands the gold. The slave, however, does not want to give the gold back to the old man because he does not have the gold. The slave shows Euclio (his) right hand. Then he shows the miserly old man his left hand. Euclio, however, asks for his third hand. The slave onsiders Euclio insane and leaves. Euclio carries the pot away from the shrine and entrusts it secretely to another location.
