The
Academic Alert System is designed to ensure that students experiencing
academic difficulties are provided with appropriate and timely
support. It enables professors quickly and conveniently to convey
information to members of the campus support community who may
be best able to help.
Information
provided by the faculty is treated confidentially. Academic
Alert Reports go to the Registrar's Office, the Dean's Office,
and faculty advisors. Depending on the nature of the report,
students may be contacted directly or referred to an academic
advisor, Bishop Wellness Center, Disability Services, Financial
Aid, International Education, the Language Learning Center,
the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Tutoring Program,
or the Writing Center. Reports may be discussed in the Student
Support Committee, a group charged with coordinating support
for all undergraduate students. For more information regarding
student privacy rights, please see the link below.
If you have
questions or suggestions, please contact the Dean’s Office in
Smullin 108 (6285).
