The Student Support Committee is convened under the auspices of the CLA Dean’s Office and is charged with coordinating support for undergraduate students.  The Committee identifies students at risk, either academically or at risk of separating from the college, and evaluates the means by which students are afforded an opportunity to succeed in their academic careers. In meeting this charge, committee members adhere to a principle of respect for each student’s autonomy, privacy, and individuality. Information exchange and other actions are guided by this principle and the careful consideration of students’ best interests.  The Committee also facilitates the exchange of information among University departments, consulting as necessary to determine appropriate actions to be taken, and communicates responsibility for such actions to various support offices and individuals on campus.
