NOTICE: You may be exempt from this exam
If you have never taken Spanish before (or took it for three semesters or less), you are not required to complete this exam. You should register for Spanish 131 (Elementary Spanish).
If you scored a 4 or 5 on the AP exam, you are not required to complete this exam. Even though you have already satisfied the Spanish Language requirement, you are encouraged to continue your studies of Spanish by enrolling in Sp 331 (Advanced Conversation & Composition).
If you come from a Spanish speaking home, have lived in a Spanish speaking country, or in any other way have been using the Spanish language, then you should talk to a Spanish language advisor regardless of the results of this exam.
