Implementation Of The General Education Program
A General Education Advisory Committee with representatives from each of the six ways of knowing and a representative from languages and from quantitative reasoning, will be established to undertake the following functions and responsibilities:
- Solicit and review courses for the general education curriculum. All courses used to meet the culture or literature component of the language studied must be approved by the Foreign Languages and Literatures department before being submitted to the General Education Advisory Committee.
- Conduct periodic review and assessment of the general education curriculum.
- Monitor the curriculum for mode/area and course fulfillment.
- Seek funding sources for program development and enhancement.
The committee will report its recommendations to the faculty through the Academic Council.
