| University teams, please join us at the first annual China Open on the campus of Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xi'an, China. The tournament will offer simultaneous divisions in English and Mandarin. We are in negotiations to offer a Moot Court division as well. | Four-Team Parliamentary Debate The China Open will use the IDEA Four-Team Parliamentary Debate format, also known as British Parliamentary Debate. Because of space limitations, we are forced to limit the entries to 60 teams per division. Anticipating a large entry in the English division, we are initially limiting schools to 2 teams per school. As an incentive for entering the Mandarin division, each school will be permitted to enter 1 additional English team for each Mandarin team entered. The table below explains the entry limits based on the number of Mandarin teams entered: |
