University teams, please join us at the second annual China Open on the campus of Northeastern University at Qinhuangdao. The tournament will offer simultaneous divisions in English and Mandarin. We are in negotiations to offer a Moot Court division the following weekend. The grand prize for the English division will include a debate tour of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. We currently are negotiating to offer a trip to New York as the grand prize for the Mandarin division.

诚邀你参加 将在东北大学秦皇岛分校举办的第二届中国辩论公开赛。本次比赛将同时举行英语辩论、汉语辩论部分，至于模拟法庭，还在商讨之中。比赛的最高奖励将提供到美国西北部进行与辩论相关的活动和旅游。对于中文辩手，我们正在考虑提供一次赴纽约的旅行。

Neither IDEA, IBA, nor NEUQ will charge a participation fee. Each attending school is responsible for their transportation, meals and lodging.

IDEA （国际辩论教育协会）IBA （国际辩论协会）和东北大学秦皇岛分校不收取任何参赛费。各参赛学校自行安排交通和食宿事宜。

Registration is now open.

Moot Court Registration is delayed while we are negotiating the date and time.  The Moot Court division will have to be at a later date (perhaps one week) and, depending on the negotiations, perhaps at a different location as well.  Please keep checking back for further information.

Before you begin, please scroll down to read the team limits and judge requirements. To register, you must go to http://forensictournament.net.

1. Register your school on the website. Click on Sign Up for a New Account.

2. After creating an account, click on the 'Tournaments' tab. Towards the bottom of the list of tournaments, click on 'China Open'. And then click on 'Registration'.

3. It asks you to register a school. Click on create a new school, and when it asks you to choose a state, choose Oregon.

4. Enter the names of debaters and judges under the 'New Entry' tab. Remember to click 'save' after typing in each name.

5. After having saved all students competing, go back to 'New Entry'. Choose the first student from the drop down menu under 'Student', choose either Mandarin under Select Event in Pattern A, or English under Select Event in Pattern B. Enter that student's partner when prompted. And then click save. Please do this for all students you have registered.

6. Click on the 'Judges' tab and register the required number of judges for your teams.

7. Check that your registration was successful under the 'summary' tab.

3。按要求你必须注册一个学校。请点击英文选项 "create a new school," 选择成功以后，请选择一个州，你应该选择" Oregon".

4.在 "New Entry"选项下，请输入辩手和评委的名字。请记住输入每个人的名字以后都要点击 "save" 键。

5。输入和保存所有学生的姓名以后，请回到 "New Entry". 在 "student" 选项下你会 看到所有学生的姓名。请先选择名单上第一位学生的姓名，然后在右边的 Pattern A 选项下选择 Open Mandarin-Debate,或者在Pattern B 提供的选项里选择Open English-Debate.当你选择Open Mandarin-Debate 或者Open English-Debate 的时候，Pattern A 或者 Pattern B 会自动弹出一个选项" Select Partner", 在这个选项的对话框里你会看到很多已输入的学生的姓名，请选择一个跟第一个学生是辩论对手的学生的姓名，然后，请记住点击"save"保存。请按照以上的顺序，将每一个学生的姓名和他们的辩论对手的名字依次输入，保存。

6。请点击" Judge" 注册你的辩论队所要求的评委的数量。

7。请在 "Summary" 一栏里检查你的注册是否成功了。

Four-Team Parliamentary Debate
The China Open will use the British Parliamentary Debate format. Because of space limitations, we are forced to limit the entries to 60 teams per division.

Anticipating a large entry in the English division, we are initially limiting schools to 2 teams per school. Additional English teams will be placed on the wait list.
 Mandarin division, each school will be permitted to enter 1 additional English team for each Mandarin team entered.

The table below explains the entry limits based on the number of Mandarin teams entered:

由于场地所限，每部限报60支参赛队。预计英语辩论部将会有大量的参赛队报名, 因此，
