Yoga is a system of exercise, breath awareness and concentration used to promote individual growth. This course focuses on physical postures and breathing exercises to develop strength, flexibility and balance.

Classes begin with focusing and warm-up followed by gentle to intense activity and ending in 10 minutes of deep relaxation.

We will explore different approaches to Yoga such as Iyengar, Sivananda, Yogafit, etc.

As we improve our physical conditioning, it is also possible to experience a sense of general well being, self-confidence and stress reduction.

Students may take this course more than once.

Class Policies
Please wear comfortable yet proper clothes that do not restrict your movement. Shorts and a t-shirt or a leotard with footless tights are ideal. Bare feet are essential.

Please bring a yoga mat to each class. Try not to come to class with a full stomach.
