The Department of French
at Willamette University encourages its students to participate
in the rich variety of study abroad options offered through our
Off-campus Programs. Students can study in France after the equivalent
of two years of college French. We recommend that all majors spend
at least a semester abroad in order to develop their language
skills in an immersion context and acquire a first hand understanding
of French culture and civilization.
