Ludwig Fischer
A native of Germany, Professor Fischer joined the faculty in 1980. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in Boulder and teaches German language, literature, culture, and comparative mythology. His main interests are methodology of language learning; ecolinguistics; the Age of Goethe; German American relations; early 20th century German novel and poetry; language and technology; literature and film; Greek, Celtic, and Grail mythology. He is currently working on a text book for second- and third-year German students dealing with the history of the German contribution to American culture.
