• Work experience includes Social Security Administration, law practice, Oregon Department of Transportation
• Interests: geography, politics/government, history, reading (most everything), tennis, Googling

Don's Bio

• M.A.T. Mathematics, University of Montana
• B.S. Secondary Education (math & chemistry) Northern Montana College
• Additional graduate work in computer science at University of Oregon and history of mathematics at West Chester University
• Retired with 39 years of teaching experience primarily at Central Oregon Community College
• Interests: grandkids, hiking and skiing, gardening, roots music, computers and politics

Bruce's Bio

• D.O. degree, Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine
• Medical Practice in General Practice Anesthesiology; Dallas OR
• Medical Director, Instructor and Physician for an intercity medical clinic for the homeless in Washington DC
• Member of Board of Directors for several not-for-profit organizations
• Interests: hiking, cycling, golfing and reading

Louise Schroeder
Louise's Bio

• Retired Registered Nurse; medical device research in Minnesota for Medtronic; long-term care licensing and training in Oregon.
• Involved with English language program at Mt. Angel Seminary; volunteer for Attorney General's Consumer hotline
• Member of newly formed Legacy Committee at Blanchet High School
• Interests: Salem Community Chorus, gardening, walking, reading mysteries, eight grandchildren, and trips to Minnesota

Dawn Smith
Dawn's Bio

• B.A. English, Sonoma State University; M.A. degree, Humanities, California State University; Recently completed a two-year Buddhist studies program from London based Foundation of Buddhist Thought
• Over 38-year career in Data Processing
• Board member for numerous organizations in Northern California and Salem including the Sonoma State University Alumni Association and Salem Adult Literacy Council; Salem Downtown Neighborhood Association
• Interests: Tai Chi, yoga, photography, meditation, gardening, home improvement projects, fine art, history, literature, philosophy and current events

Kasia Quillinan
Kasia 's Bio

• B.A. Anthropology and French University of California, Berkeley
• J.D. Willamette College of Law; retired after 30 years of legal practice, Public Utility Commission, Hearings Division; 13 years as Administrative Law Judge for Workers' Compensation Board; 14 years as sole practitioner general practice; currently teaching law in Portland
• Interests: languages, travel-any time anywhere, theater, opera, music, sing in several choruses, art, old house restoration, fine sewing, fine baking, hiking, Tai Chi, and numerous volunteer activities

• B.A. English, Mt. Marty College, Yankton, South Dakota; Fifth year Ed Certification, University of Denver
• Taught fourth grade, Sacred Heart School, Washington DC; taught English, History and Geography (from British point of view) for two years in an African girl’s high school in Kenya, East Africa.
• Preschool teaching experience with Head Start in Denver, Colorado; taught first grade in Walla, Walla Washington
• Interests: Quilting, reading, Sudoku puzzles, cooking, gardening, RVing and travel; school volunteer and member of the Assistance League of Salem

Harlan's Bio

• B.S. secondary education, Eastern Oregon College, NSF academic year at the University of North Dakota; M.Ed., University of Oregon
• Korean Veteran, 1954-56; Spent the time in Germany at the 7th Army Headquarters, G-2 section
• Taught science in Klamath County for eight years; Educational Representative for Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company for 28 years; public relations director for Northwest Textbook Depository for five years.
• Interests: Fishing, hunting, golf, RVing, travel, gardening/yard maintenance; Kiwanis member, past president and currently in charge of book distribution at Bush elementary.

Director, Information Services:
Peter Ronai (Incumbent)
Peter's Bio

• B.S. and M.D., University of Sydney, Australia
• Ph.D., University of Sydney and University of California at Berkeley
• Residency in Nuclear Medicine, University of Sydney
• Residency in Radiology, University of Kansas
• Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology
• Fellow, Royal Australasian College of Physicians
• 18 years in academic medicine at the Universities of Sydney, Adelaide, Colorado, and Kansas
• 20 years at Salem Radiology, and at Salem Hospital as Chief of Nuclear Medicine, including 4 years as Chairman of Radiology and 10 years as visiting lecturer at OHSU
• Interests: language, information technology, science reading, Australian history, travel, photography, Bach, tennis and walking
