Eligibility and Application
Students who are currently sophomores and juniors and eligible for grants and are encouraged to apply. Faculty members may recommend outstanding freshman at their discretion. Students should have taken at least one course in the Arts, Technology and Multimedia sequence.
Application Procedure
The application procedure consists of the following steps:- Meet with one or more of the participating faculty to discuss possible project ideas
- Prepare an application that contains the following:
- Your name and email address, year in school, major, an unofficial transcript\
- A letter of recommendation from a faculty member (not your mentor) who can address your ability to complete the proposed project
- A one-page statement explaining why you want to participate in the program and outlining your qualifications (e.g, relevant course work, previous research experience, subject-area skills, computer skills)
- A narrative describing the nature of your project, the problem(s) that you plan to address and the outcome(s) you hope to achieve
- A timeline showing how you plan to achieve your goals
- A sample portfolio of work from arts- and technology-related courses
- Submit your application materials to: Trina Morgan, Ford 317.
- The Arts, Technology and Multimedia oversight committee will review the applications and choose the projects to be funded
Application Deadline
The application deadline for 2010 is Monday April 19, 2010 by 5:00 pm. Awards will be announced by April 26, 2010.
