Willamette Valley REU-RET Consortium for Mathematics Research (WiVaM)

Teacher Applicants:

Eligibility: This program is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Consortium institutions. Participants must be continuing teachers of mathematics in the fall of 2008, and the NSF requires US citizenship or permanent resident status.

How to apply: Submit the following materials via email.

  1. A completed application form. (.doc file)
  2. A letter of interest. Include information about why you are interested in this program and what you hope to gain from a math research experience. Describe ways you could imagine applying or including math research in a classroom setting. Describe other pertinent information to your application not mentioned elsewhere.
  3. Two letters of recommendation that can assess your mathematical strengths. One letter should be from your principal or department chair.
