Louis Demartino

Originally from Staten Island, NY, Louis DeMartino  is a freelance performer in the Portland area, where he appears with the Northwest New Music Ensemble and Third Angle Ensemble.  Recent performances include the Colorado Music Festival in Boulder, the Artosphere Music Festival in Fayetteville, AK., and the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, FL.  Louis has performed with the Oregon, Boston, Houston, Kansas City and Omaha Symphonies, Houston Grand Opera, was a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra.  He has been a fellow with the Tanglewood Music Center,  a member of the New Fromm Players and has spent 3 summers performing with the AIMS Orchestra in Graz, Austria. Louis holds degrees from the New England Conservatory and Rice University. Principal teachers include Craig Nordstrom and Michael Webster.
